Weekly Wisdom #23: Foundations of Faith
The foundations of faith
(Iman) are known as the Six Pillars of Faith:
Most people believe these things without remembering every pillar. There is a nice little sentence one can use to remember these pillars:
Allah ordered the Angels to bring His books to His prophets to warn the people about the Day of Judgment and our Destiny.
- Allah (is the one and only God)
- Angels (who do Allah’s bidding only)
- Allah’s books (gospel, psalms, torah, Quran, etc.)
- Allah’s prophets
- The Day of Judgment
- Destiny (Allah knows and has power over all matters past present or future)
Most people believe these things without remembering every pillar. There is a nice little sentence one can use to remember these pillars:
